I hate to age myself but when the attack happened I was 12 and under the assumption that someone made a mistake (unaware it was terrorist) till I got to school. I'm an IT as well. Are you a contractor or government? Or are you an employee of that firm?

my dramatic "i quit" story was for a law firm in Roosevelt Field in Long Island. i was working for an agency (for the non-US folks it's when a company is looking a job for you. if they find one and you want it they get a percentage from the employer). anyways i've told the agency that i was looking an office job and they sent me to this lawfirm. they told me it was $12/h but when i was on my way there, they called me saying it wasn't $12/h but less. i was so frustrated but i let it pass since i needed a job. i was all dressed up w/ tie and all. i was i was happy when i got there because the office looked so nice and pretty. the manager came to me and say "you can take your tie off if you want". being the profesional that i am i decided to keep it. she brought me in the mail room and in my mind i was like where is the office job? The manager was telling me that I'm responsible to bring documents that were faxed to the lawyers. they had about a good 3 dozen lawyers and 1 fax. Yes, ONE fax. Therefore they don't stop coming. So basically i was responsible to running like an ant in this maze (the office was like a maze) for 8 hours straight. My back huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurts like hell then. As soon as the day was over i called the agency asking wtf is this??? I told them that this was not an IT job, and i wanted something else. They told me to stay there until they find me something else. On day 2 they introduced me to this guy (who loves the job btw) to train me. Let me just say that guy never shuts his mouth. After a few hours, he told me to come with him. We went to the eating room and he's showing me where all the coffee supplies etc are. he said "if you see there's no more forks/coffee/cups, you need to go get them in the stock room". i was like He also showed me where the cleaning supplies are and this guy was cleaning the tables to show me how to clean. i was like Then he went to the sink saying "see? some people leave their mugs in the sink after drinking coffee. just wash them" so of course i immediately knew i wasn't staying there. i let him "show" me my responsibilities and when the day was over i called the agency. They didn't pickup so tomorrow while i was on my way to "work" i called again and told them that i was leaving. they told me they're still looking for me and to stay there until they find another job for me. I was like "NO! first you guys lied about the salary, then you lied about the job. I wanted an OFFICE job! This is not even considered a mailroom job. That's like 1 person doing 2 people's job. I'm on my way to tell them that i quit" I mean like really. Not even the secretary is responsible for coffee stuff. When i got to the job i told my coworkers that i was leaving. None of the kids were happy there but they stayed for some reason. The manager caught one of the guy forgetting his resume on the fax machine lmao. So i told the manager that I found something that i couldn't refuse (yea right) and today was my last day. She was sooooooo furious lol. I told her i was sorry but it's a too-good-to-pass offer. She said "good for you, sucks for me" so that's my story. I quit this job after 3 days. My only regret was going back on the 3rd day. There was no point. I could have just told them over the phone. The agency was like "why don't you finish the week so u can get a full paycheck"... yeaaaaaaaah like i was gonna do that I also should have used that money i had to a back massage cauz i knew i needed one lol.

I'm a kindergarten teacher at an early childhood development center -- it's basically daycare except they incorporate early learning; the kids just don't sit there all day and play. The kindergarten however, is a regular kindergarten, besides the fact that the kids end at 4 and stay til' 6; better for working parents I suppose.
My degree isn't to be a teacher so there's a morning teacher who does their studies with them and I come between 11 & 2PM depending on the day and do their extra curricular activities, art projects, reading, etc.
They're bad as hell but...they hug me everyday so...I dunno what the problem is lmao It's fun though. They're all like grown people the way they talk. I forget they're 5 sometimes -__-

Oh...here's a story. The first week I worked there...they asked if I wanted over-time. I said sure, hey, more $$.
They put me in infant center from 8AM-6PM. -____-
I changed 21 diapers, twice. Before that, I never changed a diaper in my life. I said, "Look..I'll do this today but...I came here for the kids who go to the bathroom by themselves...I don't do all this." My supervisor was like, "You don't change diapers?" I said "No. Poo ain't my thing."
I haven't had overtime since. LMAO.

At the moment I'm a bum. I had to quit my last job to go travelling and now that I'm home, I'm not having much luck cos it's holiday time. LOL @ the funny quit stories though. I have 2 awesome quit stories lol One involving even involving Janet lol. They both involve working at Hungry Jacks (Burger King in Oz) First was in 2001. Me, Tess & Phill had just started being great friends & we moved in with each other. We all worked together as well & Phill was our boss. Then came word that Phill would be transferred and straight away me & Tess knew we would hate the new replacement. You know cos we are so mature lol. Anyway Phill's last shift was a overnight shift & I was working with him. It was a Sunday overnight shift & we had all kinds of fun. Putting our phone numbers in the take away bags for cute boys, flirting with them on front counter, dancing singing, whatever. Just a fun shift like we always had. The shift ended on a Monday morning. The day Janet's All For You album came out, so me & Phill went to the store & waited for it to open so we can buy it. YAY NEW JANET ALBUM! Who could go to sleep? Not me! So I stayed up all day instead of going to sleep listening to the album. Then I had a Kylie Minogue concert to go to with Tess so I slept for an hour or 2. Our first concert! Was so much fun! We were skipping home like a good gay & f*g hag does after a Kylie concert singing Kylie songs. We knew we had to go to bed because the next morning we had to be at work at 5AM for work with our new manager. We didn't go to bed. We was on a high from the concert so we stayed up dancing to kylie till we pasted out. Next morning at 5am we was at work dead as! We couldn't walk right or anything. We had a temp boss who was a d!ck. We all had our jobs we did, but he decided to change things up and we do different jobs. We hated him straight away. He made Tess do the Shake Machine & me do the floors which we both hated. Then Tess comes up to me & says, "I'm gonna quit I miss Phill" I told her "We can't afford to we just moved into a house together" So she was like, OK. We always listen to music by taping our eatphones from our discman to the microphones & store, & I was always in charge of music. I put on Janet's All For You album, & 10 seconds later, the new temp boss was like, "No u can't do that" FURIOUS!!!!!! Does he NOT KNOW JANET JUST RELEASED AN ALBUM!!!!!! ? I went up to Tess & was like, "I QUIT 2, HE TURNED OFF JANET" TESS: NO WAY Me: ALRIGHT LETS DO THIS!!!! TESS: YESS!!!!! We went & told the other crew we was gonna quit cos we was friends with them & they was like YEAH!!! not a very nice person!!!!! etc Then we realized if we quit they'll have to do our opening jobs so we finished our job & right before opening the store we stormed in the office and was like, "WE DON'T LIKE U, WE QUIT"! We stormed out together singing Kylie's Celebrate all happy & skipping until we came to a red light. We stood there....thinking....... OH nuts! What have we done? LOL We called Phill, he was all like, "WHAT?!?!?!?!!? Jumping up and down over the phone lol. He ran out the house and ran towards us half way while we all ran together in open arms in celebration for a reason we had no idea lol.

Oh yeah the second time lol. This time at another store I was Assistant Manager. Our boss had gone on holidays so another Assist Man took over her job for 2 weeks. In that 2 weeks he tried to prove to the company he could do a better job then her and made all these cuts. Everyone was pissed off. One overnight shift I was working at usually would have 6 staff. I came to work and I had 2. He told me they all called up sick and he couldn't replace anyone. I did that shift... WORSE SHIFT EVER. I ended up staying back for 8 hours catching up on all the maintenance that needed to be done on overnight. NOT PAID.
Then I find out a few days later, Ryan called up the 4 other workers and told them not to come in to save costs. I was furious!!! How dare he! He didn't even take any staff off his crew, just mine. I looked at next weeks roster and he had done the same. I told him, that he better fix this. By this time, another manager & a Team Leader had quit because he was being a d!ck.
Because the other manager quit, Ryan (the d!ck) had to work his night shift before my overnight, and come back for the day shift. When I came in, I saw I had 2 staff again, & he said the rest called up sick & he's going home to sleep cos he has to be back in the morning.
I yelled at him. Cursed at him. Called him all kinds of words. Everyone at the back was looking at me shocked cos usually the crew never seen me angry cos I usually trent them with respect and they trent me with respect 2, so no need to be so bossy with them.
Ryan is a taller man then me, but when I finished cursing him, man was he small. lol. I told him I quit. It's not worth it. Went out to the dinning room packed with customers and he was following me telling me I have to stay cos he he has to be back in 8 hours so I just cursed him off even more in front of the costumers. We have a lot of regular customers & I always talk to em, & they tell me they think he's a jerk so I knew a lot of the customers will back me up. I kept cursing him, they kept cheering. (Mind u this is night shift at a store in the middle of the gay districk so there was a lot of gay drunks I had been friends with though going to the clubs my self and being a drunk with the lol) I left him there to do the shift. A full 24 hour shift.
I went to a gay club to get drunk and dance in my uniform & there I saw the TL that quit. He knew I was meant to be working, he was like, What The Hell u doing here? I told him, we jumped up and down like fairys and danced the night away.... until we got hungry and decided to go to Burger King and get food & tease Ryan cos we was drunk & dancing away while we was both meant to be working that shift. He wasn't impressed lol.
2 days later I get a phone call from the actual boss who returned with all our jobs back lol
