Have Jennifer Lopez And Beau Casper Smart 'Hit A Rough Patch'? Reports says J-Lo and C-Smart might be on the rocksAre Jennifer Lopez and her long-term beau Casper Smart on the rocks?According to In Touch, the hot couple "have hit a rough patch" and the relationship has become turbulent. But now a rep has dismissed the new claims. They look happy enough to us! A source close to the couple reportedly told the magazine: “They are spending a lot more time apart,” and people were “wondering if they broke up” when Lopez recently did a shoot for Viva Movil smartphones and Smart wasn’t around. J-Lo and Casper looked happy last week whilst celebrating her new star on the Hollywood walk of fame These reports come just weeks after Star claimed that the On the Floor singer and her boyfriend were fighting because of the close relationship between Lopez and Smart's mum Shawna. The magazine reported that J-Lo and Shawna's new BFFL status was "driving Smart crazy!" An insider revealed: “Jen even tells Shawna intimate details about her relationship with Casper, he hates that!” And the magazine says it doesn’t stop there. “ Adding insult to injury, Jennifer has informed Casper that if they ever break up, she intends to "stay friends with Shawna,” says the mag. "It’s taken a lot for Casper to feel comfortable with the age gap between him and Jen, and her level of celebrity. The mom issue is a huge setback.” A rep for J-Lo has snubbed the rumors, and says the two are NOT having relationship troubles. Entertainmentwise

Jennifer Lopez Apologizes for Singing to Turkmenistan Dictactor Gurbanguly BerdimuhamedowJennifer Lopez is taking back her musical birthday wishes for Turkmenistan leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow. The superstar, 43, was in the former Soviet bloc country on Saturday June 29, and sang "Happy Birthday" to dictator Berdimuhamedow during an event hosted by the China National Petroleum Corp. -- but Lopez says she was unaware of Berdimuhamedow's egregious human rights violations, and has apologized through her rep. Turkmenestan is described by Human Rights Watch as "among the most repressive [countries] in the world," with a United Nations rep noting just last month that "a lot more work is needed" the nation to reach "international standards." The "Dance Again" singer's told the Associated Press that the event was vetted by Lopez's staff. "Had there been knowledge of human rights issues any kind, Jennifer would not have attended," said the rep. Thor Halvorssen of the Human Rights Foundation told the Hollywood Reporter: "Lopez obviously has the right to earn a living performing for the dictator of her choice and his circle of cronies. But her actions utterly destroy the carefully crafted message she has cultivated with her prior involvement with Amnesty International's programs in Mexico aimed at curbing violence against women." Jennifer Lopez Was Homeless Pre-Fame, Still Draws Strength From the Bronx www.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/201369/rs_293x383-130709130538-634.jlo.cm.7913_copy.jpg[/img]Jennifer Lopez is still Jenny From the Block, but there was a time she didn't have a place to live on that block! In a candid interview in W magazine's August issue, the 43-year-old singer opened up about her younger years and how a falling out with her mother left her homeless in the Bronx. "My mom and I butted heads," she said. "I didn't want to go to college—I wanted to try dance full-time. So she and I had a break. I started sleeping on the sofa in the dance studio. I was homeless, but I told her, ‘This is what I have to do.'" Lopez was 18 at the time, and studying dance at the Ballet Hispanico and at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. But it didn't take her too long to land her first gig. "A few months later, I landed a job dancing in Europe," she said. "When I got back, I booked In Living Color. I became a Fly Girl and moved to L.A. It all happened in a year." When J.Lo did find herself working on the West Coast, though, she realized how much she missed the Bronx. "I hated L.A.," she said. "I was asking, ‘Where's the store for milk? Don't you guys walk on the street?' Now I love Los Angeles, but it doesn't give me strength the way the Bronx did. All the strength that I needed for life, I got from that neighborhood." And while her 5-year-old twins, Max and Emme, aren't growing up in the same neighborhood as their famous mom, she does her best to instill the same values in them that she grew up with. "I think a lot about teaching my kids to work hard," Lopez said. "I've learned something about kids—they don't do what you say; they do what you do. I watched my parents. My dad worked nights, and I was aware of how much he was doing for us. My mom was a Tupperware lady and also worked at the school. I always felt that I couldn't let them down. And I had a natural discipline from early on. I was always training for something." And that work ethic has never left her. "I've always had dreams—the dreams have just gotten bigger. Benny [Medina, her longtime manager] and I will get together and plan what we want to do for the next six months, the next year," she said. "He knows I love gypsy life—I love to go. Holidays always seem very long to me. After two weeks off, I start saying, ‘Let's get back to work.' And I've always been that way." Lopez also dished on the dress that first made her a fashion icon. Yes, that dress, the cut-to-there Versace gown she wore when presenting at the 2000 Grammy Awards. "We had looked at a few dresses, and nothing was right," Lopez told W. "My stylist said, there's this one dress, but other people have worn it. I tried on the Versace and decided to wear it anyway. But I was still surprised by the reaction: When I came onstage with David Duchovny, who was the biggest star in the world then, he said to the audience, ‘Nobody is looking at me.'" "This loud sound started from the back of the room—it was kind of like a roar, over me in the dress." And the rest is history! E! Online

Jennifer Lopez Opens Up About Her Parents' Divorce Jennifer Lopez's romantic life has long been tabloid fodder. And though she has frequently commented on her multiple divorces and other high-profile relationships, her parents' divorce is something she rarely talks about. But while being interviewed for the August issue of W magazine outside of her childhood home, the singer and actress opened up about her parents' split and how it affected her. “The last time I was in there was when my mom and dad called us home to tell us that they were separating after 33 years of marriage," she said. "I think that’s why I was nervous about coming here today. It’s like seeing someone from the past -- you’re afraid to run into them because you never know if it’s going to be ‘wow’ or very difficult. This is a combination of both.” And although returning to her childhood home was difficult for the star, Lopez credits much of her success to the work ethic she learned from her mom and dad while growing up in that house in The Bronx. "I watched my parents. My dad worked nights, and I was aware of how much he was doing for us. My mom was a Tupperware lady and also worked at the school," she said. "I always felt that I couldn’t let them down. And I had a natural discipline from early on. I was always training for something.” Lopez has been divorced three times; she split from first husband Ojani Noa in 1998, second husband Chris Judd in 2002, and most recently Marc Anthony, with whom she has twins, in July 2011. She is currently dating dancer Casper Smart. Jennifer Lopez Accused of Accepting $10 Million From 'Dictators and Crooks' Following the singer's performance for the Turkmenistan president, the Human Rights Foundation unearths at least three other instances where Lopez crooned for seven-figure paychecks.A human rights group on Friday accused pop singer Jennifer Lopez of receiving more than $10 million for "serenading crooks and dictators” from Russia and a number of former Soviet republics. “J.Lo has repeatedly mingled with and entertained some of the world’s worst thugs and their cronies," said Human Rights Foundation president Thor Halvorssen in a statement to the press. "The ‘Jenny-from-the-block-who-doesn't-Google’ clarification may be credible in one instance, but it beggars belief in light of a pattern of repeated behavior." A representative for Lopez could not be immediately be reached for comment. Lopez first stirred up rights activists with a recent performance at the birthday celebration for Turkmenistan president Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov, who is accused by the Human Right Foundation of running one of the most repressive governments in the world in his Central Asian nation. Lopez's publicist Mark Young responded to press reports after the singer's performance, saying “had there been knowledge of human rights issues of any kind, Jennifer would not have attended.” “What those covering this story have missed is that J.Lo and her management have misled her fans and the public,” Halvorssen alleged Friday. Human Rights Foundation says that its research shows that in July 2011, Lopez was paid $1 million by Uzbek industrialist Azam Aslamov to perform at the wedding of his son. One of the guests at the wedding was Chechen president Ramzan Kadyrov. Earlier, Lopez was paid $1.4 million to perform at the birthday celebration in Moscow of allegedly corrupt Russian businessman Telman Ismailov, according to Halvorssen. In September 2012, according to HRF, Lopez was booked by the dictatorship of Azerbaijan to perform at a FIFA soccer tournament for a reported $2.5 million. While in the capital city of Baku, the foundation alleges, Lopez’s representatives met with the dictator’s wife and began negotiating a contract to put together a music festival in Azerbaijan in partnership with Los Angeles-based Creative Artists Agency. The event was initially planned for September 2013 but has been rescheduled to 2014. No comment from CAA was immediately available. In October 2012, Lopez traveled to Belarus, the only remaining dictatorship in Europe, where she performed a leg of her world tour. Details of her stay in the capitol of Minsk and her engagements are not public record, and the Lopez team has not responded to requests for comment on the matter. In November 2012, Lopez again traveled to Russia, where she was scheduled to sing happy birthday to Alexander Yolkin, a Russian bureaucrat accused of corruption. Yolkin was arrested the day before Lopez’s performance at his birthday party. Russian media claim that the reported $2 million paid to Lopez was the product of kickbacks and bribery. It is not known whether Lopez returned the fee for canceled performance, according to HRF. The Human Rights Foundation also questioned earlier assertions by Lopez’ spokesmen that her performance in Turkmenistan for the dictator and his family was a “last minute request,” and that the event “was not a government sponsored event or political in nature." The rights organization alleges that the Lopez camp’s claim is contradicted by both coverage of the event in Turkmenistan itself and the fact that the event’s $2.5 million finance cost was covered in advance by a Chinese company, the China National Petroleum Corporation. The United States maintains diplomatic relations with all the countries involved. China is one of America’s largest trading partners and Uzbekistan has played a critical role in staging coalition military operations in Afghanistan. Human Rights Foundation, which has called for Lopez to return the money she was paid to appear in Turkmenistan, also has denounced a visit to Chechnya by Hilary Swank and a concert by Julio Iglesias in Equatorial Guinea, one of Africa’s most repressive countries.
