Has anyone heard the album yet?
At first I was like, it's good but in a MJ way, but now after a few listens I'm really loving it. It's still not MJ-great, but it's still pretty cool.
I would have loved to hear the the remixed songs as demo's cos some of the production just gets lost along the way, but there's some truly great songs on the album that has that great MJ feel.
I also have the video game on wii and OH MY GOD!!! It is THE BEST THING EVER!!!!!!
When I got it I played for hours. Drenched in sweat but I couldn't stop playing. Played it again the next day with friends for a few hours and by the end of it I could not move a muscle.
Everyone of my friends who have played it has been a bit embarrassed about playing it, but when they see how much fun we are having they have a shot and can not stop playing it. EVERYONE!!!!
I told my cousin's 5 year old I brought the game and he literally jumped back in excitement and amazement. Couldn't believe a game like that existed. I'm going over on Wednesday to play it with him. I love that kids are still excited about MJ today. He was a huge fan before he even passed away demanding to watch the Black & White video EVERYDAY!
MJ's legacy will definitely never die

I downloaded the album a few days ago (I still plan on buying it on the 14th though). I'm iffy on it. There are a few tracks that I enjoy and that sound like MJ 100%. Then there are others that barely sound like him and aren't anything special musically/production wise. It'll have to grow on me. For now I'm content with MJ's albums pre-MICHAEL. lol. I do like "Hold My Hand" though and I have since it leaked in 2008. I think it's the one song on the album that screams MJ and is up to MJ standards.
I haven't played the Wii version of the game but I do plan on trying out the Kinect version in 2011 when it's released. The Wii game didn't get a great review. I feel like a dancing game like this needs to involve the entire body and not just the arm movement, so people will get more out of the Kinect version...even though it is ridiculously expensive. haha. I'm excited to try it out though.

U know even though the Wii game only can censor the hand, u still have to move ur whole body so ur arms are at the correct position.
In fact, even if u play the game without a control it's still the most fun game ever. It's how the individual plays the game. When we play, we don't follow the scores or just the arm, we use our whole body and sometimes without even the control cos that is the whole fun of the game.
It's so hard when it's not ur turn to NOT get up and dance as well.
I'm gonna get the Kinnect version as well, but what I don't like about that is that it's not dancing all the way through as you sing as well and when u sing, there is not dancing, so it's more of a singing game featuring some dance movies, where as the Wii version is just all dancing.

omg, I've been listening to the new album for a few days now and it's really growing on me. "Behind The Mask" is definitely one of my favorites. Even "Monster" has a ton of plays on my iTunes. lol.
I'm still bummed about "Do You Know Where Your Children Are?" not being on the album, because it's one of the funkiest songs the Michael recorded. I love it to death, but the album we were given isn't half bad. So happy I didn't give up on it after my first listen.

i think i've come to the conclusion that all of the tracks are him, some more polished than others. even "breaking news" is starting to sound more and more like mj with every listen. i watched that teddy riley interview and when he explained how they had to alter mike's voice on the cascio tracks to fit the actual music because his vocals were just raw and not the finished things, it started to make more sense. there are still times where i'm like =/ and i'm sure they have extra vocals by someone else just to even everything out, but for the most part, it's michael jackson singing. you can only do so much with unfinished songs anyway. production wise though, the album is really solid.
my favorites are "behind the mask," "another day," "monster," and "hold my hand."

^for some reason i couldn't really get into any of the songs. i think because all of the negative things i have heard about some of the tracks not being michael. i guess i'll try again with a clear mind :/

Some songs had been finished like Behind The Mask but had just been altered slightly to make it sound more modern, but if u listen to it, u can still hear the 80's MJ in there.
What irks me is that are have hundreds of unreleased MJ songs out there but they felt the need to released the unfinished songs first.
It's all about Money & how to make what they have last.
First they re-release all his old stuff right after his death
Now they releasing new music that hasn't been completed After a couple of more albums they'll release a best of compilation with the 'new songs' Then they'll release compilations with the 'new songs' and old songs Then they'll release all the songs that he had completed over a few albums and have it marketed like, "These are the finished songs by MJ" Then more best ofs of just the new completed songs Then a best of of all the new songs completed and uncompleted since he pasted Then they'll release another best of with ALL his solo songs Then a best of of all his songs from Jackson 5 to present Then they'll release all the uncompleted songs in demo versions Then another greatest hits
and so and and so on
They'll keep the best material till last, then scrape the bottom of the barrel for anything else. It's all about the $$$

After several listenings, the album has really grown on me. My favorite tracks have become
1. Hold My Hand 2. Hollywood 3. Behind The Mask 4. Much Too Soon
Those are my favorites. Overall, the album is good. I've come to appreciate it and hope to hear more of the unreleased actual finished tracks.

It's all about the $$$ This is all very true, but I'll still buy the "new" studio albums. haha. I just won't buy the greatest hits collection(s), cause I never have. I don't even own Design of a Decade or Number Ones. In fact, the only MJ album that I don't have a physical copy of is History, because 1) I have all the material on the first disc, and 2) it's ridiculously expensive because it's a double disc album. lol I'm so cheap.
