Today is the 40th anniversary of "Sesame Street". Aww, when I was young, I loved Sesame Street. I still do. Who is your favorite Sesame Street character? Well, I liked everyone of them, even Oscar the Grouch. ;D

When I was a kid, I LOVED Grover. I thought he was so funny and cute. I really didn't like Oscar the Grouch. I thought he was so mean. lol And I was confused as to if Big Bird was male or female. lol

I will admit that I was somewhat surprised that the person that does the voice of Elmo was a black man.

I was too. lol When I first saw him, I thought he must be the guy who handles him and somebody else does the voice. I forgot to mention Mr Snuffleupagus. I always liked his name.

My childhood was ALL about Sesame Street, Janet, Michael and New Kids On The Block! I wish they still aired it here in the UK, the old classics. My favourite character was Grover ;D
I remember hearing this and then singing it to my brother delighted that I'd learnt how to count to 12.
I love this... although it is quite disturbing seeing these characters swear even if it is just a joke edit

I thought Barney was corny. My sister was more into him than Sesame Street.

Sesame Street...that's how I learned to read. The NY private school system didn't do jack for me, and I couldn't read in 1st grade. The summer after, I stayed watching Sesame Street and that fall, POW I could read.
Snuffleupagus, Big Bird, and Cookie Monster were my favorites. lol.
SOOOOOOOOOOOO MAD they made him veggie monster. wackest sh*t ever.

I didn't know Snuffleupagus was a figment of Big Bird's imagination for the longest time. Still blows my mind.
I loved Sesame Street. I watched the original American version as well as Shalom Sesame, which was the Israeli version. haha. Still have it on VHS.

I was heartbroken. lol I was like, why!? You got a freakin monster living in a garbage can, but a hairy elephant has to be a figment of giant talking bird's imagination. We both love Grover, Laura.

We both love Grover, Laura. Its like when Bella is worried that Edwards family won't like her and he said "you'll be a house full of vampires and you're worried about them not liking you?!" Ok everything now has to be Twilight related... I'm officially obsessed after watching it for the first time on Saturday and for the second time today *deep sigh*
