Some of us might think it's silly or ridiculous to get upset over you don't know personally, but with some celebrity deaths it's quite shocking and upsetting. For me, it has to be:
Michael Jackson - I was more in shock than upset
Brittany Murphy - I still can't get over how she passed away so soon
Selena - Her death was something I can't understand. She was so young and full of potential.
Aaliyah - Another young star that died way too soon.
Natasha Richardson - Still can't get how she passed away from a skiing accident.
Heath Ledger - Great actor, but still can't get over it.
Left Eye of TLC - Great rapper, but still upset on what happened.
Tupac Shakur - His death was unbelievable.
Princess Diana - I still can't believe she's gone.
John F. Kennedy, Jr. - Another death I still can't get over.

The only one that I ever got legitimately upset over is Michael. It'll probably stay that way for a long time. Everyone else I was like "oh that's really unfortunate" or "wow that sucks, I liked ____."

brittany murphy, i think has been the one thats most upsetted me, i just remember how funny she always was on screen and how friendly and full of life she was, and i have to say she had a great singing voice (from the little she sang) and it was always a joy to watch her, she was such a great actress, so talented and she could jump into the character and make it believable and it's just so weird to think that we'll never see her in any more movies (aside from the last few that have yet to be released), or hear of how she's doin etc. it's just so weird.
becuase with celebs u usually know more about whats goin on in their lives than in people u actually know, so when someone famous dies it's like you knew them, not personally, but becuase they were in the limelight etc. u feel u know them, and its crazy, but u become close to them, because they remind u of certain things etc, like singers, songs theyve song will make u think "aww i remember when they sang this is was going through this in my life and this song reminds me of that time" so when they're gone, its like uve lost someone u know becuase they are apart of ur life, as one sided as that is, it's still quite upsetting.

The one that upset me the absolute most was Aaliyah. Left eye and Mike really upset me too, but I was pretty obsessed with Aaliyah, like the way I am with Janet.

For me it was Aaliyah, Left Eye & MJ. When Aaliyah died I was just over come with sadness. When Left Eye died I was in denial cos I love TLC so much. When MJ died... well I'm still in disbelief/denial on that.

I only cried over Michael and Aaliyah. But Michael's death had me down and depressed for awhile. I really felt like I lost apart of my life when he passed...It was so unreal.
& It's not Miranda -- Her name is Natasha Richardson. btw

Cried immediately with left eye
In shock with Aaliyah
WTF with Tupac
oh another rapper with biggie
so beautiful, can't be dead with ana nicole
But with MJ, a whole different story. I Couldn't feel anything right away because of the shock and disbelief but it slowly creeped up and I cried in full like 10 hours after we learned the news cause I wanted to cry but it was trapped inside and not coming out and making me shaky with chest pain, i just couldn't admit it. 8 months later and I'm still suffering, daily in fact. This one hit me the hardest but I can't even feel how bad it is, a mix of numbness, sadness and anger, like a part of me died with him and closed a chapter in my life.

I cried over Michael and was down for a while. I think I was in a denial for a while. I just couldn't accept it. It was unreal.

I'm sorry to hear that Ashley, I'm back to denial again until it creeps up on me again. Although I dismissed hoax theories all this time, I now have some hope that maybe something IS up cause of a clip I saw last week, but maybe I'm just fooling myself again. I can't accept he's gone.

I keep thinking he's just going to come back to life. It's hard to accept. I freaking loved that dude! Even though I didn't know him personally, I loved him as a person and what he did for others.

Lefteye's death Tupac's death upset me for the time being but i got over that pretty quick. Biggy's death i still can't believe that a single bullet could kill a 1200 pound man. I just don't get it. I know it's a bullet and all... but still. Salena's death, i actually cried when i found out.

I wanted to cry so badly but was paralyzed the whole time and floating....
