Britney And Rihanna Face Criticism From Parents Television CouncilFor some, it was the ’singing’ or lack of it that stood out as the most notable part of the Rihanna and Britney Spears’Billboard Music Award performance. However, it was the pair’s raunchiness that the Parents Television Council have come out against, labeling the showing as a “profanity laced S&M sex show”. Via Ace Showbiz: “I cannot imagine what would possibly lead the ABC television network to air a profanity-laced, S&M sex show on primetime broadcast television’, the President of the PTC explained going onto say, ‘It certainly has no place at 8:00 p.m. on the publicly-owned broadcast airwaves, the overtly sexualized performance by Rihanna and Britney Spears was no accident but a deliberate effort to target teens with images and lyrics that glamorize whips, chains and other sexual fantasies’ The remix, which reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, is the first time the pair have collaborated together. It faced little controversy (beyond being awful) when it debuted last month. However, clearly some feel that the the visual interpretation of the song was a step too far on an event billed as a family show. Do you agree?

The song is called S&M, what do they think a performance of the song will look like? I'm tired of people with children expecting everyone to cater to their children.

^Right? And they barely did anything...
All you have to do to get people talking is stick the name "Britney Spears" onto your performance, song, or whatever it is.

The show came on @ 8 p.m. Most kids are in bed around that time.

If I had kids I would not let them listen to Rihanna or Britney or even Janet. Do you know how wrong that is when kids start singing those lyrics?

When you hear Britney's songs like "If you seek Amy" (F-*-C-K ME), it's not really surprising to watch these girl doing what they do. The song is not very good and their performance on the billboard's was pathetic. I'm tired of seeing Britney bein' a big lazy girl and I just want to say to Rihanna : go back to high school muscial, you need singing lessons !!!!! End of story.

of course they don't. They only care about the $$$'s, that's why it's up to the parents to control what their kids listen to or watch instead of complaining about what they watching
