Matthew Knowles Files Legal Papers Against Live Nation Entertainment Beyonce's dad has filed legal papers which now explain why the singer fired him as her manager. He claims she's under the impression he stole lots of money from her, and say it's a bad rap. In the documents Mathew Knowles claims Live Nation Entertainment wanted desperately to sink its fangs into Beyonce's 2011 world tour. According to the docs, Mathew claims Live Nation told Beyonce that Mathew "had stolen money from Beyonce on her most recent tour or otherwise taken funds that [he] was not entitled to." Mathew claims Live Nation was effective, because Beyonce had her law firm conduct an audit, and the law firm concluded Mathew had indeed pilfered money from her. Beyonce then fired him. Mathew claims after he was canned, Beyonce hired a manager who had worked as a former exec at Live Nation and maintained a relationship with the company. Mathew insists the theft accusations by Live Nation are false, and he wants the judge to give him the right to take depositions of various people at Live Nation, to determine just how they concluded he was a thief. Beyonce's '4' Stays Atop Billboard 200It's an exceptionally quiet week on both the Billboard 200 albums and Digital Songs charts. On the former, Beyonce's "4" continues to reign at No. 1 for a second week, selling 115,000 (down 63%). The highest debut on the albums chart is R&B singer Lloyd at No. 10 with "King of Hearts," as it moves 26,000 in its opening week. As for the rest of the top 10 albums, Adele's "21" stays put at No. 2 (79,000; down 13%) and Selena Gomez & the Scene's "When the Sun Goes Down" rises 4-3 with 44,000 (down 43%). In a weird chart quirk, Gomez's decline in sales (but rise up the chart), gives the actress/singer her highest charting album yet. Source

Mathew Knowles Slams The Handling Of Beyoncefs e4ŒIn what will sure to be having many a music critic whispering and wondering about for years to come, Beyoncefs former manager and father has slammed her new team for whom he says are to blame for the setbacks her latest LP e4e has faced. Suggesting that the only reason the album sold what it did was due to his daughterfs star power and not the efforts of a well orchestrated plan. This comes just days after it was revealed that the eSingle Ladiese starlet had allegedly parted with her fatherfs management over claims that he was stealing money from her. Speaking to the Associated Press on her new LP, he admitted:gThey put out the record in a vacuum, it makes you believe that there are some artists that donft need radio. There are some records that donft need a record label, and Beyonce is one of those artists.h Going onto address the issue that Jay Z and others may have conspired to oust him, he revealed:gThe team ironically appeared to be a cross-pollination of Beyoncefs team, Roc Nationfs team, and Live Nationfs team, who ironically have the most to gain.Ifll let people come to their own conclusion. Ifm challenging all of these folks on integrity, professional integrityh Whilst many have been critical of Mr.Knowlesf alleged business dealings in the past, there is no doubt that some fans of his daughter will agree that the release album could have been handed better. However if Mrs.Carter did indeed part ways with her father over the issue of swindling money from her, it would shine a light on some of the grey areas that so many of her fans were confused about when it was announced she had left Music World. It would explain why she would leave his management just months before the release of a new album which would have been sure to add an extra if not overbearing stress to the already gruelling task of pushing an LP. Only time will tell how this saga will play out. Herefs to hoping that whatever happens, the relationship between Beyonce and her father and most interestingly Jay Z and her father, is not affected negatively by it in the long term. Source.

Beyonce's "4" Holds Top 5 Position On World ChartDespite selling a commendable 232,000 units across the globe in the last seven days, Beyonce's "4" is no longer the current highest selling album in the world after enjoying that feat last week. Find out why below... Slipping to #2, "4" now sits one position below Japanese band Arashi who now hold the #1 position. Remarkably, Adele and Lady GaGa still remain in the Top 5. Adele at #3 with "21" and Ms. "Judas"at #4 with "Born This Way". Only the difference of 11,000 units stopped Adele from from taking Beyonce's current chart position. Elsewhere on the chart, Rihanna's "Loud" found its way back into the top ten with 46,000 units sold this week much to the delight of her RihannaNavy. On the singles front, Nicki Minaj has cause to celebrate with "SuperBass" being #9 on the United World Track Chart. However, it is Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night" which sits at #2 making this single the highest selling single to be released by a female artist this week. Source.

Beyonce Talks Gay Fans In Latest Issue Of PrideSource MagazineI know, according to you, the girls run the world – but what do you think about the girls and the gays teaming up and running the world together?Well, that’s what I meant when I said girls. (Laughs)You don’t do a lot of gay press, but you have to know that you have a huge a gay following.Yes, I do.When did you feel a real connection with your gay fans?I’ve always had a connection. Most of my audience is actually women and my gay fans, and I’ve seen a lot of the younger boys kind of grow up to my music. It’s great when I’m able to do the meet and greets, because I’m able to really connect and have conversations. People look at some of the artists that I admire – like Diana Ross and Cher – and they identity that glamour with Sasha Fierce, and I’ve been really inspired by the language. I have my (gay) stylists and my makeup artist, and all of their stories and the slang words I always put it in my music. We inspire each other. Like I said, we’re one.Yes, you’ve inspired lots of drag queens out there. What tips can you give them to be a better Beyoncé?I have many different looks, so finding what works best for your silhouette and your face, because I’ve had every kind of hair style and I know for me there are certain things that I love to wear and there’s certain makeup and colors – bright colors on my eyes – that just don’t compliment my features. So I think just figuring out which Beyoncé works best for your figure and features. You’ve taught gay fans how to stay true to themselves. What have you learned from them, though? If anyone is brave and true to themselves, it’s my gay fans. The amount of confidence and fearlessness it takes to do what maybe is not what your parents expect you to do or what society may think is different – to be brave and be different and be to yourself – is just so beautiful. It’s the most beautiful thing you can be, and it’s what we all want to be at the end of the day. And not worrying about satisfying or becoming what other people think you’re supposed to be, that’s like the ultimate dream – to just be that brave.Source
