Yea it has been pretty quiet. I'd love new music as well. I also want moroe information on the new movie she's doing. I'm surprised no one has any information. I've been getting caught up on old interviews I haven't seen. Yesterday I watched her interview with Arsenial Hall from the RN era; the chair routine. Is it just me...or are any of the other 20-somethings mad cause they didn't get to fully grow up with Janet and experience all her tours, interviews, and performances live? It can't me just me! Like I was old enough to hear some of the songs off TVR (IGL is my all-time fav) but I didn't really get to experience and understand that era cause I only turned 9 the day after the album came out.

ME! i'm so pissed that i can't look back to say, the janet. era, and be all cool and nostalgic. lol. the first full era that i can remember is all for you (i remember part of the velvet rope but not the beginning stages), but the first one i experienced as a legit fan was damita jo. i just have bad timing. lola, i made my sig in photoshop. i know gifsoup is a popular site but i've never used it.

I can fully agree with you Sarah! I remember small bits of TVR era but not enough to say I lived it. I remember the full era of All For You but I still hadn't really got into it. I knew I loved her music and she was already in my top 5 fav female artist (at the time it was, in no order, Janet, Aaliyah, Ashanti, Mya, and Alicia Keys) but I didn't become a legitimate...watch the performances and interviews...fan till Damita Jo era. I saw her perform live for the first time RWU in DC in 2008 and from there I was hooked! I knew then for sure Janet was the sh**! You couldn't tell me NOTHING WRONG about this woman

Since then I've been scrambling and playing catch up on all her music, performances, and interviews! But to actually answer Shannon's original question...I have no idea how to spruce this place up! Unlike some other fansites...for the most part we only talk about facts and things that are really happenening in Janet's camp. We don't start too many threads on opinions, wishes, and extremely loose Janet references (though I know sometimes I do ;D ). I'm not trying to compare or start any drama...I'm just saying that's why IMO other sites have so much going on.

^i agree. This forum has never really been a place where members fight and cause drama. Every since I can remember this forum has been filled with nice people. That's why I joined because I didn't like the drama that was going on in other forums. I think the reason why it's more quiet around here is because a lot of the original members have moved on and now have more busy personal lives and don't have time to post as often which is totally understandable.

Awww Sarah your original NY date would have been the day after my actual DC date...Oct. 15th. Me and my best friend went. It was her bday gift to me since my bday is Oct. 8th. She love Janet too (we also went to DC Number 1's this year). We had so much fun at RWU...didn't have that great of seats but she had that catwalk to it was pretty easy to see I went to that concert straight from work so in our pictures I'm wearing slacks, a fitted jacket, and flats...not your typical Janet concert attire but we were killing all the dance moves in our seats!

d**n, you guys make me feel old. I remember when What Have You Done... premiered on the radio. I was 12. I was like, that's Janet Jackson!? lol My 6th grade class learned our prepositions to the tune of Control. lol
I like the non drama around here too. It's so refreshing to read posts of people I like, even if we don't agree on certain things.
