I was gonna start a thread about this too. lol It was really good. I usually don't feel spooked after a movie, but this movie was really haunting to me. *SPOILER* The husband was getting on my nerves. I kept saying, will you stop thinking this sh!t is cool and try to get help. He kept taunting the demon. I was like dude it's obvious this thing isn't palying. When he brought the ouigi board in I was like, idiot! lol Also, I kept asking why won't they just close and lock the bedroom door? I'm sure that wouldn't have detered the demon, but a lot of stuff wouldn't have happened like her being dragged out of the bed.

LOL! Did it not bother you that they didn't seem to mind that the ouija board spontaneously combusted into flames? They completely overlooked it and tried to focus on the letters it highlighted. I was like "HEY! The d**n board is ablaze..." I was so scared to sleep that night. I wouldn't lay on the outside of the covers even though it was balls hot. I was positive that something would drag me out of bed. That part caught me so off guard, it isn't funny. I also didn't like that Micah stayed at the end once she was finally possessed. He should have left her ass in that bed. *END OF SPOILER* So anyway, great Halloween movie. lol.

OMG! I forgot about that part. I was thinking ok you have proof on video of a ouiji board catching on fire. Take it somewhere and show it to somebody. What more do you need as proof? I was scared as hell last night going to sleep. I kept thinking I was hearing demon footsteps on my steps. That freaked me out hearing the demons footsteps. I've never been scared like that after seeing a movie. lol

I think the scariest part was just he music/grumbling they played in the background every time it switched to the bedroom scene. Like you knew something was gonna happen but you had no clue when because it didn't just stop, it kept going.

Right! It was the not knowing that was most scary. It freaked me out too that she stood at the bed for like 2 hrs. lol

So I haven't seen the new version of the movie, but I have seen the original film that it was derived from. The only difference in the movies was the ending.
I didn't think it was that scary. Though the Ouiji board thing was a pretty cool trick, just wasn't that impressed. It takes a lot to scare me.

^ I wasn't scared watching the film. It was only after talking about it for a while and digesting everything that it freaked me out. lol

That's how it was for me too. I wasn't scared watching it, but I felt so haunted afterwards especially when I went to sleep that night. I saw the original ending on youtube the other day. According to the commenters there, there are three endings. The third is where she kills herself after killing Mika.

Maybe I'll stumble upon it another day.

Hope you like it, Shannon!
From what I understand, you either really enjoy the movie or you hate it.
