Kelly Clarkson Confirms “Dark Side” As Third ‘Stronger’ SingleWhile Kelly Clarkson‘s been spending her time sitting atop the Billboard Hot 100, she’s already gearing up for the release of her third 'Stronger' single: “Dark Side.”Although there’s been much debate regarding rumors over the past few weeks ( “I Forgive You” was originally thought to be the next single), the American Idol alumni confirmed to MTV News Canada that “Dark Side” will, in fact, be single No.3. “Dark Side” has become a fan favorite off the 'Stronger' album (apart from “You Love Me,” “Honestly” and “Let Me Down”). Kelly Clarkson Among Singers Starring in DuetsThere's a new singing competition coming to TV! Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke, Lionel Richie and Jennifer Nettles have been picked to search for musical protégés on Duets, which will premiere on ABC this summer. Instead of sitting on a judges' panel, these four superstars will head out across America to find two singers to be their duet partners. Each week, the celebrity and one of their charges will take the stage and perform in front of a live studio audience. "The simple fact that I get to go out and find two people I believe in, sing with them every week and help them accomplish their dream is an amazing thing I can't wait to be a part of," Clarkson says in a press release from ABC. By the end of the competition, one singer will win a recording contract with Hollywood Records. Source

Happy 30th Birthday Kelly Clarkson! Kelly Clarkson is ringing in the big 3-0 with what we would call one great comeback. The season one American Idol winner seemed to be laying low for a while, but lately she's been making headlines with some new hits and projects. Clarkson released her fifth studio album, 'Stronger,' in October, which includes the rock-out hit "What Doesn't Kill You" (and it was featured on Glee so you know it's huge) and debuted at No. 2 on the charts, selling 163,000 copies the week of release. She also joined a long list of legendary singers who took the stage for VH1 Divas and had the honor of performing at the Super Bowl! As if that wasn't enough, she's signed on for a new reality show, Duets, alongside Lionel Richie, Jennifer Nettles and Robin Thicke. Source

Kelly Clarkson Shoots “Dark Side” Music VideoAfter steamrolling over the non-believers with her mega-smash “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You),” Kelly Clarkson is moving onto her next single “Dark Side.”The talented superstar, who just turned the big 3-0, was snapped shooting the music video for the future smash in L.A. this weekend. The defining anthem is set to hit radio in early June, by which time “Stronger” should have left the top 10 and cooled some more at radio. In other Kelly news, her latest album 'Stronger' is currently sitting at No. 39 on the Billboard 200 with total US sales approaching the 800k mark. Considering that she’s only just moving onto the third single now, 'Stronger' should easily end up outselling 'All I Ever Wanted' in the long-run, which shifted a bit over 900k in the States. Source

Kelly Clarkson: "My Boyfriend is Ruining My Creativity"Kelly Clarkson is known for empowering breakup songs like "Since U Been Gone," but now that she's happily in a relationship, the pop star is struggling to find her edge. "It is killing me," Clarkson told PEOPLE while doing press for ABC's upcoming singing competition show Duets. "I'm trying to write a tough song and it is coming out like butterflies and rainbows."Clarkson, 30, says she has been dating Nashville-based talent manager Brandon Blackstock, 35, since late 2011. "It is ruining my creativity," she joked of the relationship that she publicly announced in early March. "I'm writing all this happy [stuff]."Blackstock is the son of Narvel Blackstock, Clarkson's manager of five years, and the stepson of Clarkson's "Because of You"duet partner Reba McEntire. "People used to ask, 'Why are you single?' and I'd say, 'It is not in my schedule,' "Clarkson told reporters. "I'm in a relationship right now and I have time for it. I never used to."Clarkson's next single off her fifth album, 'Stronger,' will be "Darkside" but her happy love life is making it difficult to tap in to her own darkness. "People are going to be, like, 'What the hell happened to you,' " she said of her recent writing sessions. "It has been really difficult. I love it. It's an awesome problem to have."Source
